Quick serve taco restaurant Taco John's is apparently branching into apparel sales -- in early November the restaurant offered a sweater featuring the restaurant's Apple Grande dessert. The sweater must have been a hit because it has already sold out!
“We’re thrilled to launch our holiday merch site, with sweaters showcasing our famously unique dessert for fans to cherish for years to come!” said Taco John’s Chief Marketing Officer, Barry Westrum, in a press statement. The company also offered a Taco John’s ornament and an Apple Grande-inspired candle.
All of this merchandise supported the chain's Apple Grande, which they describe as "a weird yet delicious dessert that layers warm apple pie filling, shredded all-natural Cheddar cheese, and a sprinkle of red candy seasoning on top of a crispy cinnamon-sugar tortilla.
Taco John’s also has revived its annual limited-time promotion, Nachos Navidad®. This festive menu item features red, green and yellow chips to its Super Nachos. Proceeds from the sales of these nachos go to local nonprofit groups.
