Chicago’s Bar Sotano, one of Rick Bayless’ establishments, is holding a joint event with Baltimore’s Clavel Mezcaleria, which was nominated for the James Beard Best Bar Award, on June 9 on the patio of Bar Sotano.
“We are celebrating their nomination and all the beautiful cocktails that they have been creating over the last year,” the invitation to the event said. “Come try two of their cocktails, two of our classics, and two, never-before-seen collaboration cocktails.”
In addition to the cocktails, chef Greg Gunthorp will whole roast a pig over coals.
“We will be making gorgeous celebration-style tacos to go along with all out awesome appetizer options, including michelada oysters, pibil croquettes, and many more surprises,” the invitation said.
The event costs $125 per ticket and proceeds go to Impact Culinary Training program on Chicago’s West Side. Click here to reserve tickets.
