Masa Mexican Street Food, a popular restaurant in downtown Camden, South Carolina, will open a new location in Columbia later this year. The restaurant will occupy a space at 2811 Rosewood Drive, near the recently transformed Rosewood Baptist Church. Masa's owners started the restaurant in 2020 to offer high-quality food and drinks in a simpler, more accessible setting. The Columbia location will feature the same menu as the Camden location, including homemade tamales and tortillas, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, bowls, and a variety of side dishes. Medina’s Mexican Grill, Warner Robins, GA
Medina’s Mexican Grill, a new authentic Mexican restaurant, has opened in Warner Robins, Georgia. The restaurant is owned by three friends, Jesus Hernandez, Antonio Medina, and Yenny Aranda, who met while working at other Mexican restaurants in the region. The menu includes a range of dishes, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, steaks, soups, and seafood, with house specialties like mojarra and molcajete. Vegetarian options like chiles poblanos are also available. Lunch specials and the ability to create custom plates are offered during the week. La Calle, St. Louis
Mexican restaurant La Calle is set to open at 4121 Manchester Ave. in the Grove area of St. Louis in late March or early April. The 4,400 square-foot restaurant, with an estimated indoor and outdoor capacity of 200 guests, will serve a menu featuring Mexican street food-inspired items, such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and esquites. The owner, Sebastian Montes, intends to make his own tortillas from scratch. The restaurant will also have multiple bars that will serve a full range of drinks, including margaritas and Palomas, once the liquor license is approved. The venue is adorned with bright, fun murals by around 20 local artists, and their paintings will be available for purchase at the restaurant.
