If Chef Luis Mota gets his way, some lucky New Yorkers will get to taste his food paired with Mexican wines, specifically from Bodega Symmetria winery in Valle de Guadalupe. Mota is participating in the the Washington Square Park Conservancy Taste of the Village event in October, and hopes to have the wines on hand by then.
"We donate our time and food, and the event is a fundraiser for the community," says Mota, owner and executive chef of La Contenta and La Contenta Oeste. "Now I'm just talking with the guys at the winery about getting the wines here."
