Bubbakoo's Burritos has opened its 100th location, and its first in Connecticut.
“Words cannot express how thrilled we are to be opening our 100th location,” said Paul Altero, co-founder of Bubbakoo’s Burritos, in a press release. “This is a landmark achievement that every restaurant concept dreams of reaching, and it is incredibly exciting that we’ve reached this goal after just 15 years in business. Perry, Fenil and Gerry have been dedicated owners with Bubbakoo’s for years and they are the perfect group to represent us in this shared accomplishment.”
The Connecticut location, in Orange, is the second store to open this year. There are three more locations planned in Connecticut, including one in Norwalk. The original restaurant was opened in 2008 in Point Pleasant, N.J. by Altero and Bill Hart. Customers can choose from a variety of options on the menu, including burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and a dish called the chiwawa, a cheesy rice ball coated with fried panko bread crumbs, with the choice of protein and toppings.
