World Cup Shots
World Cup Fever has hit, bringing with it an opportunity for bars and restaurants to promote country-themed specials. These shot recipes, courtesy of el Jimador Tequila, can help rouse the spirits of your “futbol” loving patrons.
USA: The Red, White & Blues
.5 oz. grenadine syrup
.5 oz. blue curaçao
.5 oz. el Jimador Blanco
Sugar
Rim a shot glass with Sugar. Add .5 oz. of grenadine syrup. Layer .5 oz. of Blanco on top by gradually pouring the tequila onto a cocktail spoon, keeping the spoon very near the surface. Finally layer .5 oz. of blue curaçao using the same method.
Mexico: La Bandera
.5 oz. Grenadine syrup
.5 oz. Green crème de menthe
.5 oz. el Jimador Blanco
Add .5 oz. of grenadine syrup to a shot glass. Layer .5 oz. of Blanco on top by gradually pouring the tequila onto a cocktail spoon, keeping the spoon very near the surface. Finally layer the green crème de menthe using the same method.
Uruguay: Out of the Blue
.5 oz. blue curaçao
Lemon Juice
1 oz. el Jimador Blanco
Mix .5 oz. of blue curaçao with 1 oz. of Blanco. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
Netherlands: Orange Strike
Cinnamon
Slice of orange
1 oz. el Jimador Reposado
Add 1.5 oz. of Reposado to the shot glass. Garnish with a wedge of orange sprinkled with cinnamon. Drink the shot followed by eating the orange garnish.
