Tamarind Margaritas
Makes 2 cocktails
Lime
Coarse salt or Tajin Fruit Seasoning
4 oz. white tequila (blanco)
3 oz. tamarind concentrate
1 oz. simple syrup
1 oz. Cointreau or Triple SecRim two margarita glasses with the lime and salt or
Tajin seasoning.
For traditional margaritas, mix the tequila, tamarind concentrate, simple syrup and Cointreau or Triple Sec, stirring to dissolve tamarind. Add a few ice cubes to the glasses and pour over ice. For frozen margaritas, place the ingredients in a blender with crushed ice and blend until frothy. Pour mixture into rimmed glasses.
