This Mexican Candy Cocktail — a spicy watermelon margarita that blends tequila, citrus, and a kick of hot sauce and served in a tamarind and tajin-rimmed glass — packs a sweet-and-spicy punch that’s especially refreshing for warm-weather dining.

Makes 1 cocktail
2 oz. Natalie's Lemon Juice
4 oz. watermelon juice
Watermelon liqueur
2 oz. tequila
4 dashes of hot sauce
1 T. tamarind paste
2 T. Tajin
2 T. sugar
Watermelon and lemon slices, for garnish
In a cocktail shaker combine the lemon juice, watermelon juice, watermelon liqueur, tequila, hot sauce, and ice. Shake well.
Combine the sugar and tajin in a shallow dish.
Rim the glasses with the tamarind paste first then dip in the tajin mixture.
Pour the cocktail into the two glasses over extra ice.
Garnish with watermelon and lemon slices.
