Chef Jimmy Henry of Jimmyhank Pizza in Harleysville, Penn. won the California Freestyle category and $5,000 prize in the California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB’s) 2026 Real California Pizza Contest with his Motor City Elote pizza. The pie, inspired by classic Mexican street corn, combines Real California low-moisture mozzarella, cotija, and crema with roasted corn and smoky spices for a fresh take on a favorite dish.
Henry's winning recipe was selected from more than 200 entries and competed against seven other finalists in a live July 14 bake-off at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia in Napa, Calif.
"To have something I created recognized on a national stage is an honor I'll never forget, and I'm incredibly grateful," Henry announced in an Instagram post.
Chef Zack Calder, Owner of Left Coast Pizza in Dayton, Nev., won the Contest’s Grand Prize and the On the Menu category award for his Valley Heat, Vine Sweet pizza, which pairs sweet fruit, spicy heat, and savory toppings, Real California low-moisture whole milk mozzarella, ricotta, and a parmesan-style cheese.
