The Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood is partnering with acclaimed Hispanic chefs for "Chef Grande, Chef Pequeño," a youth culinary competition and fundraising event on Saturday, September 19 at Ovation Hollywood.
Chefs Jhon Arevalo of La Popular Cocina Mexicana, Marcos Mendoza of Cuernavaca's Grill, Rudy Suazo of Maple Block, Pablo and Denice Mendez of Moderno Cocina Catering, and Jorge "Joy" Alvarez of Tacos 1986 each have worked with Club youth to develop a signature taco to serve guests, who will vote to crown the event's "2026 Top-Notch Taco."
The event, which begins at noon (PDT) also features additional food, live music, and a mezcal tasting, along with an open bar for guests 21 and over. Proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood programs focused on food insecurity, healthy lifestyles, and sustainability.
Tickets and sponsorship information are available at givebutter.com/chef2026.
