The grape harvest season in Querétaro continues to evolve, and with it come new initiatives that expand the state’s wine tourism experience with fresh narratives, aesthetics, and ways to celebrate wine. This year, Viñedos El Sueño contributes to the calendar for the first time with an ambitious and deeply sensory event in July: the Real Vendimia Flamenco-Ibérica.
More than just a wine festival, the experience promises to be a journey to the heart of Spanish culture through gastronomy, equestrian art, music, and wine.
Located in the heart of the Querétaro wine region, the project will present a celebration inspired by Iberian tradition that will include performances featuring Lusitano horses, flamenco, and haute cuisine. Notable guests include renowned flamenco dancer Joaquín Cortés, an iconic figure in contemporary flamenco, as well as Emilio García Ortigosa, considered one of the world’s finest ham carvers.
During the press conference announcing the event, Rodrigo Ibarra, director of tourism promotion for the Querétaro Ministry of Tourism, noted that the state continues to strengthen its tourism offerings through innovative wine experiences that enrich the Art, Cheese, and Wine Route.
For Alfred Aliseda, founder and CEO of Viñedos El Sueño, this first event, which will take place on July 25, represents an opportunity to share the project’s personality and its unique approach to wine and hospitality.
“Every vineyard has a different story to tell, and we want to do so through art, architecture, and experience,” he said.
El Sueño’s concept combines a contemporary aesthetic with elements of entertainment and luxury rarely seen in the Mexican wine scene. The complex houses the highest wine cellar in Latin America, dancing fountain shows, and a dining area designed to turn the visit into an immersive experience.
One of the highlights of the day will be a paella tasting led by Chef Francisco Gutiérrez Lara, national director of the Sueca International Valencian Paella Contest, considered the world’s oldest competition dedicated to this iconic dish.
In addition to its participation in the harvest season, Viñedos El Sueño announced that it will soon open a boutique hotel with exclusive villas for adults and develop a golf course, thereby expanding its tourism and hospitality offerings in the region.
The presentation held at Punto México, part of the Federal Ministry of Tourism, was also attended by Eduardo Casillas, a restaurant entrepreneur, and Viridiana Domínguez, coordinator of Special Projects for the Querétaro Ministry of Tourism.
Amid flamenco, wine, and Lusitano horses, Viñedos El Sueño is not only inaugurating a new harvest season: it is proposing a different way of experiencing wine. An experience where Iberian tradition meets the Querétaro landscape, and where every glass, every chord, and every moment celebrate the art of living slowly.
