BCN Taste & Tradition in Houston
Three Mexican restaurants and one featuring cutting-edge Spanish cuisine are among OpenTable’s 2025 list of Top 100 restaurants. These top restaurants were chosen based on insights from more than 10 million diner reviews, diners’ ratings, reservation demand, and percentage of five-star reviews.
Alma Fonda Fina, Denver, Colorado. According to OpenTable, this culinary gem from Michelin-starred Chef/Owner Johnny Curiel is “dedicated to sharing the integrity, tradition and culturally rich experiences that defined his culinary journey and create a transportive dining experience that embodies the beauty of Mexico.”
Alteno, Denver, Colorado. This newest creative from Chef Curiel, “pays homage to his Jaliscan Highland roots and traditions, incorporating a mix of heritage flavors and rustic preparations that spotlight the cuisine and culture of the iconic Los Altos de Jalisco,” OpenTable’s description says.
BCN Taste & Tradition, Houston. OpenTable describes the restaurant’s name as “a nod to Barcelona and the meld of traditional and modern Spanish cuisine.” Here, diners find an “authentic Spanish style dining experience with unparalleled service” and a menu filled with dishes that showcase “all the fantastic, cutting-edge haute cuisine that put Spain on the world stage.”
Suerte, Austin, Texas. Dishes made with local ingredients from the area’s “beloved farmers” are the calling card at acclaimed Chef Fermin Nunez’s East Austin restaurant that features what OpenTable describes as a menu “inspired by the people, cooking techniques, and flavors of Mexico.”
