Fabrica de Tequilos Finos in Tequila, Mexico has released a new line of tequila named after the chart-topping hit from rock band AC/DC, Thunderstruck. The tequila, distributed in the United States by Worldwide Beverage Imports, LLC, comes in silver, reposado, and anejo.
The silver is described as having intense sweet notes of cooked agave, followed by a spicy white peppery punch. It is silky and delicate, leaving on the palate a sachet of spices. The reposado features full body, intense full agave flavor. It is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 4 to 6 months to give it natural color and rich flavor. And the anejo, which is a combination of 100 percent blue agave, is aged in French Oak, American Oak, and bourbon barrels, blended together, and aged three years to perfection. The anejo features a a wonderful balance of oak derived vanilla and the fruitiness of agave.
