Austin-based Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Los Angeles-based Tito’s Tacos are teaming up for the third year in a row to host a 2020 version of Tito’s Fiesta Mexicana on Sunday, October 4 to celebrate National Taco Day and National Vodka Day in support of World Central Kitchen and frontline healthcare workers.
Unlike previous years, Tito’s Fiesta Mexicana 2020 is not a public party. Instead, the iconic Tito’s brands are commemorating the day by distributing 2,000 goodie bags with one 100ml bottle of Tito’s Handmade Vodka hand sanitizer and two co-branded reusable masks, on a first come first served basis at the Culver City-based Tito’s Tacos, no meal purchase necessary. Since beginning production in late March, Tito’s Handmade Vodka has donated 900 tons of hand sanitizer to critical frontline workers in over 44 states and counting, as well as to the general public in cities across Texas and in Miami, with more to come. This LA distribution in honor of National Taco Day and National Vodka Day is the spirits brand’s next stop to help fans stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both Tito’s brands are deeply committed to giving back to the communities they serve and want fans to celebrate National Taco Day and National Vodka Day safely while supporting those in need. With that in mind, Tito’s Tacos and Tito’s Handmade Vodka are donating $20,000 ($10,000 each) to World Central Kitchen (WCK), a nonprofit organization that uses the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies during times of crisis and beyond. Since the onset of the pandemic, WCK has provided over 25 million meals to families and frontline healthcare workers, and Tito’s Tacos plans to contribute further to that in the coming weeks.
Masks and social distancing are mandatory while waiting in line at Tito’s Tacos. For more information and safety guidelines, visit titosfiestamexicana.com.
