The James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards recognizes exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts. The awards are open to independent restaurants that serve food and are open to the public (fine dining, casual, bars, bakeries, food trucks, and pop-ups) and chefs who are actively making food or beverage that is available to the public.
Anyone — diners, chefs, restaurant employees — can submit a recommendation for free. It just has to be submitted by November 30, 2023. So don’t delay!
Two of the 2023 James Beard Award winners were in the Mexican/Latin category: Yoli Tortilleria in Kansas City, Missouri, Outstanding Bakery; and Chef Natalia Vallejo of Cocina al Fondo in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Best Chef: South! And several Mexican/Latin establishments made it to the impressive list of semifinalists. Your restaurant or chef could be on that list in 2024!
