Los Angeles residents got a great taste of Latino restaurant cuisine during the 2024 Dine Latino event, hosted by the Latino Restaurant Association (LRA), from May 14 to 19. One hundred fifty restaurants participated this year, according to Lilly Rocha, the association’s CEO.
The restaurants were encouraged to offer special menus for allowable on-site dining, take-out, and delivery for lunch and/or dinner. The LRA marketed the event with a public relations campaign and a social media campaign. There was no charge for the restaurants to participate, thanks to sponsorship by SoCal Gas.
The event kicked off with the Dine Latino Media Day hosted by Pez Coastal Kitchen Pasadena, owned by Bret Thompson and Lucy Ramirez Thompson. Media coverage for the event came from KTLA 5 News, FOX 11 LA, CBS Los Angeles and other outlets.
“It was our most successful Dine Latino Restaurant Week to date,” Rocha says.
