- 1 oz. Del Mayab Achiote (about 1/3 of a 3.5 oz Achiote Brick)
- 1 lb. of chicken breasts, in strips
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 white onion (sliced)
- 2 sour oranges or 1 cup of orange juice
- Salt and pepper
- Cooking oil
- Guacamole, optional
- Tortillas, optional
In a medium bowl, dissolve the Del Mayab Achiote in the juice of the oranges to create the marinade. Add the chicken breast strips to the bowl and let marinade as long as you like (we recommend at least 30 minutes but you can also let it
In a frying pan add the oil, onions, and peppers. Once the onions and peppers are soft and the onions are translucent, add the Achiote marinated chicken strips and stir fry. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Continue to cook until chicken it is cooked all the way through.
Once the chicken and vegetable mixture is finished cooking, we suggest warming up the tortillas and making tacos with the meat, onions, pepper and guacamole (optional). Finally, enjoy!
