In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Goya Foods will host Goya Gives Day on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 — the 90th day of the year — with a nationwide day of service and philanthropy. Through its Goya Gives initiative, the company will donate 1 million pounds of food to individuals and families across the United States.
Volunteers for non-profit organizations, local businesses and law enforcement will pack thousands of bags of food at Goya’s headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. James Solomon, the mayor of Jersey City, is expected to attend to declare “Goya Day” to mark the 90th anniversary of Goya Foods and its impact on the community.
From Madrid, Seville, Puerto Rico to California, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, and Chicago, Goya facilities and over 100 partner organizations across the country and around the world will participate in this coordinated day of giving.
According to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, approximately 47 million Americans live in food-insecure households, and about 13.5% of U.S. households experience food insecurity at some point during the year, underscoring the growing need for community-based food assistance and corporate giving initiatives.
