Mosquito Runner was awarded a silver medal at the prestigious Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the most important international competitions in the world of spirits.
The award was presented February 16 during the official ceremony recognizing the winning Mexican products, organized by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
An international jury of 140 experts blind tasted 2,598 samples from 70 countries, reaffirming the rigor, diversity, and high competitive level of the competition. Mosquito Runner stood out for its defined structure, vibrant fruity notes, and exotic nuances.
“This recognition confirms that patience, craftsmanship, and independence remain the true path to excellence. At Mosquito Runner, we believe that nothing extraordinary is done in a hurry,” said Gabriela Sanclaudio, spokesperson for the brand.
Inspired by the legendary Mosquito Rum-Runners of the Prohibition era, Mosquito Runner embodies a philosophy that celebrates the bold, the hidden, and the unconventional. Its rums are born from selected cane, prolonged aging, and mixed distillation in ex-Bourbon barrels in Venezuela, followed by a unique sea voyage to Mérida, Mexico. This journey adds complexity and character, in a direct nod to its seafaring heritage.
Beyond the liquid itself, the brand has captured attention with the design of its bottle, conceived as a collector's item with visual references to the clandestine and sophisticated. An aesthetic that reinforces its narrative: “The spirit of clandestine rum lives on.”
