People flying into or out of Denver International Airport can now enjoy the cuisine of local favorite Tacos Tequila Whiskey. The new location of the taco spot opened on May 23 as part of a new Marketplace on Concourse A. The Marketplace — a joint venture between Skyport Hospitality and JAF Concessions — also includes Elway’s Taproom & Grill and Peet’s Coffee.
“Today is a great symbol of the transformational power of this airport. DEN is a place that celebrates local brands and local legends…we want customers who visit this airport to be reminded of what they love about Denver and to experience dining and retail that they can only find in Denver,” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said during the opening ceremony.
Tacos Tequila Whiskey fits that local profile. The locally owned restaurant (which opened in 2010 in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood, and also operates a taco truck) serves handcrafted tacos and antojitos made with quality ingredients that capture the essence of elevated street food culture.
“We are extremely excited and humbled to team with Skyport, JAF and brand partners Elway’s and Peet’s on this A Concourse expansion,” Chef-owner Kevin T. Morrison said. “It is a beautiful addition to the airport and highlights DEN’s vision for the future.”
