Bike 45 Chicago "Tour deTacos," an event that encourages bicycle riders to visit Mexican restaurants, will be held this Sunday in Chicago.
"Bike 45 Chicago is a community project to improve neighborhoods in the city," says Leslie Perkins, communications director for Alderman John Arena, one of the organizers of the event.
"By inviting the public to ride bicycles, we help the environment, we encourage them to leave their cars, perform healthy activities, exercise and reactivate the businesses in the area. In this Taco Tour we highlight three Mexican restaurants to visit: Casa de Luna, Tatas Tacos and Chicago Taco Authority.”
Justyna Frank, owner of Cosmic Bikes, another organizer of the event, points out how important it is to "help the community by inviting them to ride their bicycles to discover and appreciate new places, relax vehicular traffic and encourage business in our area of the 45th district, here in Chicago and especially these three new restaurants."
Cyclists, beginners or professionals, will follow a circular route of about 15 miles. They’ll learn about the neighborhoods around, and stop to taste tacos and other Mexican dishes at the three restaurants.
