Jarritos has advertised on catering trucks for the last 30 years, and they’re expanding that program to help out these small businesses during the coronavirus crisis.
“Today lunch truck operators, drivers and cooks are facing tough times caused by the Covid-19 pandemic,” says Eric Delamare, Jarritos director of marketing. “As essential business, most of them are still going out every day and do the best they can to provide food to many other professionals. As manufacturers and marketers of Jarritos, we at Novamex want to maintain support for this industry.”
Jarritos is demonstrating that support by increasing their advertising on lunch trucks.
“In 2019, we advertised on 400 trucks for 4 months,” Delamare says. “In 2020 we are advertising on 800 trucks for 5 months. Our plan covers 50 commissaries in 28 cities across the USA. We also adapted our ads based on the type of food the lunch trucks offer in each market. Our investment adds a small revenue stream to the drivers, helps them sell more food and drinks and signals that we value the support that this industry has given us for so many years.”
