“We regret to inform you that effective today 2/27/25, all Colorado Del Taco locations are closed until further notice.”
That terse note appeared on the doors at all 19 Del Taco locations in Colorado, without an explanation for the closures — and no one seems to know what prompted the move and it if it permanent or temporary
The parting words on the note simply said, “We thank you for your patronage, the memories we have created together, and wish you well.”
There’s been no word on closures in other states – at least so far.
el Restaurante’s phone call to the Denver location went to a non-working number. A call to Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. headquarters and corporate office went to customer service, where a rep said queries about the closing would be forwarded to a media relations specialist.
We will update the information as it becomes available.
UPDATE: Del Taco Responds to Colorado Closings
Late Thursday, February 27, el Restaurante received the following comments in response to our call to Del Taco’s corporate office asking about the closing of 18 of the restaurant’s 19 Colorado locations. (Yesterday’s report said all 19 had closed based on information available at that time.)
“Del Taco is proud to have been serving the state of Colorado since 2003 and we appreciate the ongoing support of our loyal guests. At this time, our Denver and Colorado Springs franchise locations are temporarily closed. We will re-open these locations as soon as possible and will share updates as they become available. The Del Taco location in Grand Junction is owned and operated by a different franchisee and remains open for business. Thank you for your patience and support.”
